Asila Sabouri is an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying Bioengineering. Asila is interested in exploring biotechnology, biosynthesis and medical devices applications. Currently she is working with Graduate Student Josh Huang on Microbial Calorimetry. She worked with Dr. Kyle Sander on an individual project engineering C. basilensis 4G11 to enhance CO₂-derived PHB degradation. Her work involved designing and executing metabolic stress experiments to optimize bioplastics recycling efficiency.
