Undergraduate StudentKylie Akiyama bioengineering undergraduate at UC Berkeley with an interest in the convergence of synthetic biology and space exploration. She worked with Dr. Jake Hilzinger, in the FPSD: Food and Pharmaceutical Synthesis Division of CUBES to improve the group’s capacity to metabolically engineer A. platensis for small molecule production.
